Empowering the Disadvantaged through Green and Digital
This project has an environmental rationale, as it seeks to reduce pollution, greenhouse gas emissions, and energy poverty in the region. It aims to create opportunities for marginalized groups and expand its impact across the Western Balkans while addressing common waste management constraints and economic opportunities. This project has a twofold approach: The first is designed to diversify service streams within the waste management sector and endorse digital advancements for disadvantaged entrepreneurs. Managed by RECONOMY in partnership with REDI NGO, the project creates opportunities for marginalized groups in waste management through a regional scope in North Macedonia, Albania, and Serbia.
The other one is related to circular economy and waste management. In partnership with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, the Chamber of Commerce of North Macedonia, the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Albania, and the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro, this project will foster closer collaboration between the Chambers of Commerce as the largest entities that cater for the needs of the private sector, especially women-led MSMEs, working in circular economy and waste management.
