Digitalization of Sectors with Growth Potential for Better Economic Opportunities

The Western Balkan region faces significant obstacles, including inadequate digital infrastructure and a deficiency in skills, notably in the framework of digital literacy. Such challenges pose impediments to fully harnessing the advantages of digitalization. The project’s objective is to enhance the Western Balkans’ regional economy by leveraging the competitive advantages of sectors like ICT, BPO, self-employment, agriculture, tourism, and manufacturing through digitalization to stimulate economic growth and job opportunities. Simultaneously, the project seeks to address industry-related challenges, including talent acquisition, stakeholder cooperation, and business services development. Co-facilitated by Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe, this project addresses the supply-demand disconnect across industry requisites, educational offerings, business solutions, and advocacy, enhancing stakeholder coherence and strengthening business services for global competitiveness.
